Job Title: RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator – Med-Surg (Charge)
Location: Kansas City, MO
Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Shift:
Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Rotating Weekends)
Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Rotating Weekends)
Pay:
$35.65/hr – $47.64/hr
(Maximum range typically considered for candidates with close to 18 years of experience)
Shift Differential: Additional $4.00/hr for Nights & Weekends
Sign-On Bonus: Case-by-case basis
Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator – Med-Surg (Charge) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Kansas City, MO.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee patient care activities during assigned shifts
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient throughput processes
• Monitor and evaluate quality of patient care services
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff
• Support employee engagement initiatives including rounding and service recovery
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, training, and staff development
• Participate in performance evaluations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes when needed
• Assist with scheduling and staffing coordination based on patient care needs
• Ensure proper inventory and equipment management
• Promote a collaborative, patient-first care environment

Qualifications

• Active RN License or Compact RN License required
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Current acute care Med-Surg experience required
• Charge RN experience in Med-Surg strongly preferred
• Candidates with at least 2 years of current Med-Surg RN experience may also be considered
• ACLS Certification required within 30 days of employment start date
• BLS Certification required within 30 days of employment start date
• Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills required
• Candidates must be comfortable with a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
