Job Title: RN – Nurse Educator
Location: New York, NY
Contract Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift:
• Day Shift | Monday – Friday
• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 40 Hours Weekly
Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical education and training to nursing staff
• Develop and implement educational programs and competency assessments
• Support orientation and onboarding of new nursing staff
• Promote evidence-based nursing practices and patient safety initiatives
• Collaborate with leadership teams to improve clinical performance and patient outcomes
• Assist with staff development, continuing education, and compliance training
• Evaluate nursing competencies and provide mentorship as needed
Requirements:
• Minimum two (2) years of Med/Surg experience required
• Minimum two (2) years of Perioperative (Periop) background required
• Strong clinical nursing background required
• Excellent communication, teaching, and leadership skills
• Experience in nursing education, staff training, or clinical instruction preferred
• Ability to support nursing competency development and performance improvement initiatives
• Strong understanding of perioperative nursing standards and clinical workflows
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited Nursing Program required
• Master’s Degree in Education required
• Active New York State RN License required
• Primary Source Verification of RN License and Registration from NYSED required
• AHA BLS Certification required
