Location: Hamilton, VA 20158
Schedule: 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Working Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday
Contract Duration: 5 Weeks

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for a school-based assignment in Hamilton, Virginia. This role involves supporting students with diabetes in a safe, caring, and structured school healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, preferably in a school or pediatric setting, and be comfortable assisting with diabetes-related monitoring and support. Training related to diabetes care and school healthcare procedures will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support and assistance to students during school hours
• Monitor blood glucose levels using Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) devices
• Assist the school nurse with insulin dosage verification as a second checker
• Support student safety, comfort, and daily activities throughout the school day
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with school staff
• Follow all school healthcare protocols, safety standards, and confidentiality guidelines

Qualifications

• Experience working with diabetic children preferred
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive approach to student care
• Ability to follow healthcare instructions and established protocols
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Previous school-based or pediatric experience is a plus
