Registered Nurse (RN) – Wound Care

Location: Apple Valley, California
Schedule: Day Shift – 3x12-Hour Shifts
Shift Hours: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Apple Valley, California. This opportunity is ideal for a clinically strong nurse with hospital-based wound care experience and expertise in wound assessment, treatment planning, and patient care management.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently in an acute care environment and have strong documentation and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and treat patients with acute and chronic wounds
• Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans
• Perform wound evaluations, dressing changes, and skin integrity assessments
• Collaborate with physicians, nutrition services, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Educate patients and families regarding wound management and prevention
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards
• Support pressure injury prevention and healing initiatives

Requirements

• Active RN License required
• Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required (Hard Stop)
• Wound Care Certification or WCON required
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS preferred
• Epic experience highly preferred
