Ultrasound Technologist – Travel Contract
Location: Hyannis, MA
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Day Shift | 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist for a travel assignment in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting. This opportunity is ideal for professionals skilled in diagnostic sonography who are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and diagnostic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using high-frequency sound wave equipment.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and explain examinations to ensure comfort and cooperation.
  • Select appropriate transducers and imaging techniques based on physician orders and patient needs.
  • Review patient history, physician requests, and clinical information to support accurate diagnosis.
  • Position patients appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
  • Evaluate ultrasound images for technical quality and proper documentation.
  • Maintain accurate radiology records and ensure all images are properly labeled.
  • Assist physicians during specialized ultrasound procedures and needle biopsies.
  • Coordinate workflow efficiently to maintain productivity and timely patient care.
  • Maintain equipment and assist with supply management and service requests.
  • Follow all departmental policies, infection control standards, and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
  • Credentialed by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Registered in both Abdomen and OB/GYN specialties through ARDMS.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Strong communication and patient care skills.
  • All certifications and registrations must remain active throughout the assignment.
