Schedule

• Day Shift
• 5x8.5-Hour Shifts
• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 42.5 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Compensation

• Pay Rate: $75 – $95/hour
  Compensation based on experience.

Position Overview

A healthcare facility in Syracuse, New York is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner with a strong oncology background for a contract assignment. The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate closely with attending physicians to provide comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver high-quality patient-centered care in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient health assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Collaborate with attending physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress accurately and timely within the medical record
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and follow-up care
• Utilize prescriptive authority in accordance with state regulations and physician collaboration
• Deliver patient care functions independently with minimal orientation and supervision
• Support oncology patient care management and treatment coordination

Qualifications

• Active New York State Nurse Practitioner License and registration required
• NP specialty certification consistent with area of practice required
• Possession of Medicare NP number or eligibility to apply required
• Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Current ACLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance required

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience required
• Prior inpatient experience strongly preferred
• Oncology experience heavily preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative healthcare environment
