  • 5x8-Hour Shifts
  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 40 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Compensation

  • Pay Rate: $60 – $75/hour
    Based on experience.

Position Overview

A healthcare facility in New York, New York is seeking a skilled X-Ray Technician for a contract assignment. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, ensure patient safety, and provide high-quality radiologic services in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate radiologic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images under physician direction
  • Prepare and position patients for radiologic procedures
  • Explain procedures clearly to reduce patient anxiety and ensure comfort
  • Adjust imaging equipment controls and exposure factors for optimal image quality
  • Follow radiation safety practices and utilize shielding techniques to minimize exposure
  • Maintain compliance with infection control and department safety standards
  • Process radiographic images and make quality adjustments as needed
  • Document patient care activities and maintain accurate department records
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and support departmental operations

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology required
  • New York State Department of Health Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T.) required
  • ARRT Certification required
  • Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • MDNC-3221 experience preferred
  • Entry-level candidates accepted
