Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift travel assignment in Glencoe, Minnesota. The RN will provide comprehensive maternal and newborn care throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery in a fast-paced acute care environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, excellent obstetric nursing skills, and the ability to confidently manage both routine and high-risk labor and delivery cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients during all stages of childbirth
• Continuously monitor maternal vital signs and fetal heart rate patterns
• Assist physicians and OB providers during labor, delivery, and postpartum care
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and pain management interventions as ordered
• Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies including fetal distress and hemorrhage
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the labor and delivery process
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in EMR
• Maintain patient safety and adherence to obstetric nursing protocols
• Collaborate with OB physicians, anesthesiologists, neonatal staff, and interdisciplinary teams
• Provide postpartum recovery care and support breastfeeding initiation and bonding
• Maintain compliance with infection control standards and hospital safety guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Previous Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Strong obstetric assessment and emergency response skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Strong EMR documentation proficiency
