Position Title: MRI Technologist
Location: New York City, NY 10029
Employment Type: Full-Time Contract
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Job Summary:
Perform high-quality MRI imaging procedures using advanced magnetic resonance technology while ensuring patient safety, accurate positioning, and compliance with MRI protocols and departmental standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI scans according to established protocols
• Position patients and coils for optimal imaging quality
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and accuracy
• Ensure proper labeling and transmission of images to PACS
• Maintain documentation in RIS/IDX systems
• Conduct MRI safety screening and enforce safety protocols
• Educate patients on MRI procedures and preparation
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during scans
• Maintain MRI suite cleanliness and equipment readiness
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly
• Assist physicians during imaging when required
• Coordinate inpatient and outpatient imaging schedules
• Maintain compliance with licensure and hospital policies

Requirements:

• Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT-approved Radiologic Technology program required
• Active New York State Radiology License required
• ARRT (MRI) certification required
• BLS certification required
• NYS DOH Radiography License required
• Strong knowledge of MRI physics and cross-sectional anatomy
• Strong patient positioning and imaging skills
• Minimum 2 years MRI experience preferred
