Job Title: Registered Nurse – Rehabilitation Unit
Location: Watertown, NY
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Night Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Compensation:

  • Pay Rate: $2,000 – $2,400/week (based on experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Rehabilitation Unit travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment skills and experience caring for post-acute rehabilitation patients with complex recovery and nursing care needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
  • Monitor and document patient progress, responses to treatment, and outcomes
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams
  • Educate patients and families regarding recovery goals, rehabilitation plans, and discharge needs
  • Maintain compliance with nursing standards, safety guidelines, and facility policies
  • Ensure patient safety, including safe mobility assistance and lift techniques
  • Support rehabilitation goals by promoting patient independence and recovery
  • May function as charge nurse when assigned

Patient Population:

  • Post-acute rehabilitation patients requiring ongoing therapy and nursing support
  • Patients with complex physical, cognitive, and functional recovery needs

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required
  • BLS Certification required
  • ACLS Certification required
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
  • Minimum 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience required
  • At least one successful travel assignment required
  • Inpatient Rehabilitation experience preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and prioritization skills required
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
