Job Title: Surgical Tech/ OR Tech
Location: Eureka, CA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate:
Local : Up to $40/hr
Travel : Up to $47/hr
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8-Hour Shifts | 06:30 AM – 03:00 PM / 08:30 AM – 05:00 PM / 11:00 AM – 07:30 PM

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking OR Tech / Surgical Tech for an exciting Travel or Local job in Eureka, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures with required instruments and sterile supplies
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during procedures while maintaining sterile technique
• Perform surgical scrubbing duties for various procedures
• Ensure instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and functional
• Anticipate surgical team needs during procedures
• Maintain sterile field and follow infection control protocols
• Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and transport
• Float to SPD and Endoscopy as needed
• Restock and manage surgical supplies and equipment
• Follow hospital policies and patient safety standards

Qualifications:

• Active California Surgical Tech license/certification required
• Minimum 2 years acute care Surgical Tech experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with 2+ years experience
• Experience in MS, MS/Telemetry, ICU, and some ER exposure required
• Ability to float to SPD and Endoscopy required
• Strong sterile technique and instrumentation knowledge
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Pending California license not accepted
