RN – Nurse Educator (Maternal Child Health)
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Contract Length: 14 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 37.5 Hours/Week
Schedule: 5x8 Hour Shifts | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and dedicated RN – Nurse Educator for a contract opportunity within a fast-paced Maternal Child Health hospital setting in Brooklyn, NY.

This position is ideal for Registered Nurses with strong Labor & Delivery experience and a passion for nursing education, staff development, and clinical leadership. The Nurse Educator will support clinical education initiatives and provide educational guidance across multiple inpatient MCH departments.

The ideal candidate will possess strong acute care experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical education and training to inpatient nursing staff
• Support orientation, onboarding, and competency development programs
• Educate staff on patient care standards, clinical procedures, and hospital policies
• Assist with quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams
• Mentor and support nursing staff in clinical practice
• Maintain educational records and compliance documentation
• Support ongoing staff development and continuing education programs

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Strong acute care hospital experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program
• AHA BLS Certification
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to support multiple inpatient MCH departments

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Nurse Educator experience
• Experience supporting NICU, Pediatrics, and Postpartum education
• Strong leadership and staff development background
• Master’s Degree in Education preferred

Required Certifications & Licenses

• New York State RN License
• NYSED Primary Source Verification
• AHA BLS Certification
