Job Title: Registered Nurse – Wound Care
Location: Bronx, NY 10451
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Schedule: 4 Days/Week (~34–38 Hours)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Wound Care to provide specialized care in the assessment, treatment, and management of patients with wounds, ostomies, and continence conditions. This role requires strong clinical expertise, patient education skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments related to wound, ostomy, and continence care
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Administer and evaluate wound care treatments and interventions
• Manage complex wound cases, including fistulas and ostomies
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and coordinate referrals
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and prevention strategies
• Support and lead staff education and training initiatives
• Implement preventive measures for patients at risk of pressure injuries
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards
• Assist in the evaluation and utilization of medical equipment and supplies
• Address clinical challenges and escalate concerns appropriately

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Hands-on experience in wound care and ostomy management
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage complex wound cases independently
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited program (required)

Certifications & Licensure

• Active New York State RN License (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA)
• One of the following certifications (required):
  • CWOCN (Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse)
  • CWON (Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse)
  • CWCN (Certified Wound Care Nurse)
  • CWS (Certified Wound Specialist)
  • WCC (Wound Care Certified)
