Echo / Cardiac Sonographer (Travel Contract)

Location: Cincinnati, OH 45219
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift – Monday to Friday (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM) | 40 hours/week


Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and experienced Echo / Cardiac Sonographer to perform high-quality, non-invasive echocardiography and vascular ultrasound procedures. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, producing diagnostic-quality images, and supporting physicians with accurate clinical data in a fast-paced healthcare environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) and/or vascular ultrasound procedures
  • Acquire high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with established protocols
  • Review patient medical history and verify procedure appropriateness
  • Accurately document findings and maintain detailed clinical records
  • Educate patients and families on procedures to ensure comfort and understanding
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Recognize when exam modifications are necessary and communicate accordingly
  • Manage workflow efficiently, including urgent and add-on cases
  • Ensure proper patient preparation and timely transport when needed
  • Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms and adequate inventory of supplies
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment in a safe and effective manner
  • Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Stay current with advancements in sonography and continuing education

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of ECHO experience
  • Strong proficiency in advanced transthoracic echocardiography
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography program
  • Solid understanding of imaging technology, DICOM standards, and EMR systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Certifications & Licensure (Required)

  • ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification
  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in both cardiac and vascular sonography
  • Familiarity with accreditation standards and quality assurance processes
