Position Title: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
Location: Orange, CA
Pay Rate (Local): Up to $55.00/hour
Pay Rate (Travel): Up to $78.00/hour
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Schedule: Night Shift – 3x12s (07:00 PM – 07:30 AM)
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extension Possibility)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity obstetric unit within a leading acute care hospital in Orange, CA. The ideal candidate will be confident, highly skilled, and experienced in managing complex and high-risk pregnancies in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients
• Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and respond promptly to any abnormalities
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and high-risk births
• Circulate and assist in cesarean sections and related surgical procedures
• Administer and manage critical medications including magnesium sulfate, antihypertensives, and insulin drips
• Deliver compassionate postpartum and newborn care
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Educate patients and families throughout the childbirth process

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (hard requirement)
• Prior travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)
• Strong experience in high-risk Labor & Delivery units
• Must be proficient in circulating for C-sections
• Proven ability to manage complex obstetric cases

Education & Licensure

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• AWHONN Intermediate or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification (Required)
