Job Title: Program Manager (Agile Transformation)

Location: Washington, DC
Duration: 6 Months


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager with a strong background in enterprise Agile transformation to lead and drive large-scale initiatives. This role requires a strategic leader who can coach teams, influence stakeholders, and implement scalable Agile frameworks while ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term program success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain transparency with stakeholders through effective status reporting, data-driven insights, and proactive communication
  • Lead Agile transformation initiatives across multiple teams and business units
  • Drive team maturity by implementing Agile assessment frameworks and coaching strategies
  • Ensure consistent adoption of Agile practices across teams, Scrum Masters, and Agile Coaches
  • Monitor and enhance Agile resource effectiveness, including performance standards and conflict resolution
  • Align team outputs with business goals to ensure delivery of measurable value
  • Build and maintain governance models, including documentation standards, risk management, and stakeholder engagement rhythms
  • Continuously assess program effectiveness and recommend strategic improvements
  • Pilot innovative Agile practices and evolve frameworks based on organizational needs

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • 5+ years leading enterprise Agile transformations
  • 5+ years of hands-on Agile coaching experience with proven success
  • 3+ years of program/project management or systems engineering experience managing complex initiatives
  • Deep expertise in Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or similar
  • Strong experience defining and implementing Agile maturity models and assessment frameworks
  • Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills, with ability to influence senior leadership
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (advanced degree preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile certifications such as:
    • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
    • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
    • PMI-ACP
    • SAFe certifications
  • Experience in government or highly regulated industries
