Job Title: Merchandising Administrative Assistant (PLM)

Location: Bolingbrook, IL (Hybrid – 6 days onsite per month)
Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)


Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Merchandising Administrative Assistant (PLM) to support product lifecycle management and transition activities within a dynamic merchandising environment. This role involves executing administrative and operational tasks related to product disposition, SKU maintenance, and cross-functional coordination.


Key Responsibilities:

SKU Maintenance:

  • Ensure add/delete forms are completed accurately with proper disposition details
  • Maintain and update SKU disposition at both brand (POP Portal) and item (PIM) levels
  • Execute updates based on buyer direction, including disposition codes and markdowns

Operational Support:

  • Provide operational support for category transitions with strong attention to detail
  • Communicate updates effectively to operations and cross-functional teams
  • Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions

Logistics Coordination:

  • Initiate RTV (Return to Vendor) and DIF processes
  • Follow up with brands and buyers to obtain RA (Return Authorization) numbers
  • Execute clearance and markdown cadence as directed

Collaboration & Values:

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of transitions
  • Demonstrate strong communication, accountability, and collaboration
  • Maintain a focus on continuous improvement and timely decision-making

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and positive attitude

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
  • Experience with data systems and reporting tools preferred
  • Knowledge of Adobe Analytics, SAP/SAP HANA, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus
