Job Title: Travel Cardiology Diagnostic Technician III (Phlebotomy & EKG)
Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Full-Time | 13-Week Contract

Schedule: 36–37.5 hours per week
Shift: 12-Hour Shifts (11:00 AM – 11:30 PM)
Rotation: Every other weekend and rotating holidays

Eligibility Requirement: Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered.


Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiology Diagnostic Technician III to support both phlebotomy services and non-invasive cardiac testing in a fast-paced acute care environment. This role plays a critical part in patient diagnostics, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a high standard of patient care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and collect clinical specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Verify patient identity and provide clear instructions for specimen collection procedures.
  • Transport specimens to the laboratory following established protocols.
  • Conduct non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures, including EKGs, Holter monitoring, and stress testing.
  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation and lab requisitions.
  • Enter and manage patient data within hospital information systems.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, lab personnel, and leadership to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Follow infection control protocols and maintain proper use of PPE at all times.
  • Support nursing units with specimen collection and diagnostic needs.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new staff and clinical students as assigned.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate supplies are maintained.
  • Identify and escalate workflow challenges or quality concerns.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training, and continuing education.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Deliver exceptional, patient-centered care at all times.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Phlebotomy Technician Certification (PBT) – required.
  • EKG Certification – required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a high-volume clinical setting.
  • Prior experience in an acute care or hospital environment preferred.
