Job Title: Diagnostic Tech
Location: Hyannis, MA
Job Type: Contract (Travel/Local)
Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule:

• 36 hours per week
• Shift: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM
• Every other weekend and holiday required

Compensation

• Travel Rate: $44 – $47/hour ($1,518 – $1,621/week) – based on experience
• Local Rate: $34 – $37/hour ($1,172 – $1,276/week) – based on experience

Position Overview

A reputable healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Tech to support both laboratory specimen collection and non-invasive cardiac testing. This role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate diagnostics and high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and other specimens; ensure proper labeling and transport to the laboratory
• Positively identify patients and explain procedures prior to specimen collection
• Educate patients on proper specimen collection techniques
• Perform non-invasive cardiac testing, including EKGs, Holter monitors, and stress tests
• Ensure all required lab documentation is completed at the time of service
• Research and verify unusual or complex test requests using available resources
• Accurately document patient data in hospital systems and departmental logs
• Complete cardiac test orders and billing documentation as required

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Phlebotomy Certification (PBT) required
• EKG Certification required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment
