Shift: Monday – Friday, 08:30 AM – 05:30 PM (Lunch: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM)

Position Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a licensed Retail Pharmacist to provide short-term coverage in a critical access hospital retail pharmacy setting in Cordova, Alaska. This role is ideal for a professional looking to provide essential pharmaceutical care while experiencing the unique lifestyle of a remote Alaskan community.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the retail pharmacy window, ensuring accurate dispensing and patient counseling.
Maintain high standards of pharmaceutical care within a small hospital environment.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to support patient care.
Maintain accurate pharmacy records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
Serve as a primary point of pharmaceutical expertise for the community during peak summer season.
Requirements:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
Active Alaska State Pharmacy License.
Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience.
Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug safety, and medication therapy management.
Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
Ability to work independently in a small, remote healthcare facility.
Logistics & Benefits:
Housing: Provided and fully paid by the facility (no pets; within walking distance of the hospital).
Travel: No rental cars provided; housing is local.
Experience in small, remote, or critical access healthcare settings is preferred.
