Location: Columbia, SC 29203
Shift: Night Shift (3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)
Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide advanced respiratory care within a high-acuity acute care hospital environment. The RRT will be responsible for managing ventilatory support, administering respiratory treatments, and responding to critical respiratory situations. This role requires close collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care services to assigned patients
• Manage ventilators and respiratory support equipment
• Perform respiratory treatments and therapies as prescribed
• Monitor patient respiratory status and respond promptly to acute changes
• Assist in emergency and critical care interventions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for care planning and execution
• Participate in scheduled on-call coverage
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all respiratory care provided
• Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and safety standards

Required Skills & Experience

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (mandatory)
• Experience in acute care or hospital-based respiratory therapy
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Flexibility to work night shifts and rotating weekends

Education Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

Certifications & Licensure

• Active RRT Certification (required)
• Valid State Respiratory Therapist License (South Carolina or compact eligible)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Advanced certifications preferred based on facility standards
