Job Title: Travel LVN / LPN – Pediatrics
Location: Syracuse, NY
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week

Shifts Available:

  • Day Shift: 3x12 (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM)
  • Night Shift: 3x12 (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Pay Rate: $54.94/hour
Weekly Gross Pay: $1,977.84
Weekly Stipend: $1,329.84

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Some holidays as needed
Work Setting: Onsite

Position Overview

A leading healthcare facility is seeking experienced LVN/LPN – Pediatrics professionals to support a fast-paced Emergency Department (ED), including Pediatric ED coverage. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and the ability to provide high-quality care to pediatric patients in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in an ED/Pediatric ED setting
  • Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures
  • Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the care team
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Assist physicians and RNs during examinations and procedures
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and records
  • Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care
  • Support patient and family education regarding treatment plans

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Recent Pediatric experience in a hospital setting required
  • Emergency Department (ED) or Pediatric ED experience preferred

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) program

Licensure & Certifications (Required):

  • Active LPN/LVN License (State of New York or compact, if applicable)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Additional Requirements

  • Strong IV insertion and phlebotomy skills required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency care environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
