Job Title: Polysomnographic Technologist – Sleep Technologist

Location: Falmouth, MA 02540
Shift: Day Shift (07:00 AM – 05:30 PM or 08:00 AM – 06:30 PM)
Schedule: Non-rotating, 40 hours/week
Contract Duration: 14 Weeks (Temp-to-Hire)


Position Summary

A Polysomnographic Technologist is responsible for conducting and coordinating sleep studies in a clinical Sleep Lab setting under the supervision of the Manager of Rehabilitation, Sleep, and EEG Services. This role includes performing diagnostic sleep testing, operating specialized monitoring equipment, and supporting physicians in the evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. The position requires a strong focus on patient care, safety, and adherence to clinical quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, calibrate, and operate polysomnographic and sleep study equipment
  • Perform physician-ordered diagnostic sleep testing procedures
  • Monitor, record, and document patient data throughout sleep studies
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic sleep procedures
  • Ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and readiness of Sleep Lab equipment
  • Manage and order necessary supplies for daily operations
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility standards
  • Provide age-appropriate care for patients across all life stages (infants through geriatrics)
  • Ensure patient comfort, safety, and dignity during all procedures
  • Follow established customer service standards aligned with organizational CARES values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, Service)
  • Support additional administrative and clinical duties as needed

Required Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience in a sleep lab or polysomnography setting preferred
  • Strong technical proficiency with sleep study and monitoring equipment
  • Knowledge of sleep study protocols and patient monitoring procedures
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to provide age-specific patient care across diverse populations

Certifications & Licensure Required

  • Board Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) – Required
  • Current CPR Certification – Required
