• Shift: Nights – 4x10-hour shifts (17:00 – 03:00)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW) to support a high-acuity acute care hospital setting. This role is responsible for providing crisis intervention, psychosocial assessments, and care coordination for patients in the emergency department. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to support patients and families during critical and time-sensitive situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for emergency department patients
• Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and emotional support to patients and families
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and coordinate care plans
• Facilitate safe and effective discharge planning, including referrals to community resources and support services
• Address social determinants of health impacting patient care and outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the EMR system
• Respond effectively to emergency situations with professionalism and sound clinical judgment
• Float within scope of practice to support facility needs as required

Required Qualifications

• Active LMSW or LCSW license (Alaska license required; pending licensure may be considered)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in social services
• Acute care experience required; Emergency Department experience strongly preferred
• Strong crisis intervention, assessment, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure clinical environment
