Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: Night Shift – 7:30 PM to 8:00 AM
Hours: 34.5 Hours/Week

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $71.16/hr
• Weekly Gross Pay: $2,455.02
• Weekly Stipend: $850.56

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Travel RN – Medical/Surgical to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical setting. The RN will be responsible for managing a variety of patient conditions, delivering bedside care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Provide direct bedside nursing care to pre-operative and post-operative patients
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document accordingly
• Perform clinical procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, and wound care
• Monitor patient vital signs and recognize changes in condition
• Operate and adjust medical equipment as required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on care planning and discharge processes
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, medications, and recovery plans
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
• Adhere to established nursing standards, safety protocols, and best practices

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred

Certifications

• Active RN License (State of New York or Compact)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA required

Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
