Job Title: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Location: Syracuse, NY 13215
Duration: 13-Week Contract
Shift: Mid Shift – 3x12 hours (1:00 PM – 9:00 PM)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic acute care setting. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing patients throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum process.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and continuous patient monitoring
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean section procedures
• Circulate during C-section procedures (required)
• Scrub for C-sections when needed (preferred)
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care Labor & Delivery experience
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience scrubbing for C-section procedures
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
