Job Title: Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR RN)

Location: Rochester, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Shift: Evening Shift (01:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts
On-Call Requirement: Yes

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to support a high-acuity surgical department. This role requires flexibility to adjust shifts as needed and strong experience across multiple surgical specialties in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams while maintaining sterile technique
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment
• Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery
• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy as required
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to surgical protocols
• Document all patient care accurately in the EMR system
• Participate in on-call rotation

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience
• BLS certification required
• Strong skills in IV placement and phlebotomy
• Ability to work across multiple surgical specialties

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with EPIC EMR system
• Prior experience in high-acuity or multi-specialty OR settings
