Overview

"Navitas Partners, LLC" is looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join a dynamic data and analytics team within the banking and financial services domain. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in designing and implementing scalable data solutions using modern cloud technologies. This role focuses on building robust, high-performance data pipelines to support enterprise-level banking operations, analytics, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance data pipelines using Snowflake, PySpark, and SQL
• Develop complex and optimized SQL queries for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) processes
• Design and implement data models, schemas, and data architecture aligned with banking and business requirements
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions
• Automate data workflows while ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency across systems
• Manage release cycles for data pipelines, including deployment, version control, and environment coordination
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines and systems for performance and scalability
• Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and regulatory compliance standards within the banking domain
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, pipelines, and workflows
• Continuously evaluate and implement industry best practices and emerging technologies

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar enterprise data role
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, Python, PySpark, and SQL
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud data platforms
• Experience in designing and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines
• Strong knowledge of release management, deployment processes, and version control systems
• Good understanding of banking and financial services data, compliance, and regulatory requirements
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong experience with Azure and Databricks
• Exposure to Apache Kafka or other streaming/data ingestion frameworks
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in data engineering environments
• Prior experience in banking or financial services domain strongly preferred
