Duration: 13-week assignment

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic breast imaging procedures in a clinical radiology setting. The role involves delivering high-quality imaging services while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and compliance with established quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mammography and stereotactic breast imaging procedures under radiologist direction
• Greet and prepare patients, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout the exam
• Properly position patients and apply appropriate exposure techniques to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Maintain compliance with Mammography Quality Standards (MQSA) and applicable quality assurance protocols
• Participate in ongoing quality control processes as required by industry standards and equipment guidelines
• Document patient information in radiology information systems for clinical and billing purposes
• Support overall patient care and departmental workflow as needed

Requirements

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
• Active state radiologic technologist license/registration or eligibility required
• ARRT certification in Mammography required or preferred (as specified by facility)
• Minimum 1 year of progressive technical experience in mammography
• Current CPR certification required
• Ability to successfully pass pre-employment health screening
• Strong attention to detail and patient communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Breast Mammography
• Experience working with advanced mammography systems
• Familiarity with MQSA standards and quality control procedures
