Job Title: Sleep Technologist / Polysomnographic Technologist
Location: Humble, TX
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks, with possibility of extension)

Schedule:

  • Shift: Day Shift
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Timing: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Polysomnographic Technologist (Sleep Tech) to perform and score sleep studies in a clinical sleep lab setting. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data analysis, patient monitoring, and adherence to clinical standards, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and score sleep study data according to AASM standards
  • Identify and document clinical events such as respiratory events, cardiac activity, limb movements, and arousals
  • Prepare detailed reports and communicate findings with physicians
  • Perform quality assurance reviews and support staff education as needed
  • Monitor patients during sleep studies and ensure accurate data collection
  • Review patient history, medications, and sleep patterns prior to testing
  • Provide safe, age-appropriate care across all patient populations
  • Assist with training, onboarding, and mentoring of staff
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and leadership regarding patient status and orders
  • Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and operational protocols
  • Support continuous improvement and departmental goals

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
  • Strong proficiency in sleep study scoring and analysis
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

Certifications & Licensure:

  • RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 75–100 lbs and carry up to 30 lbs as needed
  • Ability to work in a clinical setting and support patient handling
