Registered Nurse (RN) – Float Pool

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Shift: Night Shift (3x12 hours)
Duration: 8-Week Contract


Schedule Details

  • 12-hour night shifts
  • 3 shifts per week (36 hours per week)
  • 8-week assignment

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) for a Float Pool position. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple units while demonstrating strong clinical judgment, flexibility, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

Assessment

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychosocial, and educational needs
  • Monitor patient conditions and report any changes promptly
  • Identify and mitigate safety risks for patients and the care environment
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare teams using structured handoff methods

Planning and Diagnosis

  • Develop and prioritize individualized patient care plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
  • Establish measurable patient goals and initiate discharge planning
  • Participate in shift reports and care planning discussions

Implementation

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care in accordance with established protocols
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Educate patients and families regarding care plans and recovery processes
  • Respond efficiently to emergency situations
  • Maintain infection control and patient safety standards

Evaluation

  • Continuously evaluate patient progress and update care plans as necessary
  • Ensure adherence to clinical standards and best practices

Education and Certifications

  • Diploma in Nursing (required)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
  • Active Ohio RN License or Compact License (required)
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required)
