Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Acute Care

Location: Cumming, GA
Job Type: Travel Contract (13 Weeks)

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Schedule: 5 Days per Week
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum 2 weekends per 4 weeks (up to 4 preferred)
• On-Call: Not Required

Job Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join an acute care team in a hospital setting. The role involves evaluating and treating patients with a wide range of medical conditions, including neurological, respiratory, and post-surgical complications.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Manage patients with dysphagia, stroke, neurological, and respiratory conditions
• Provide care across multiple units, including ICU and acute care floors
• Perform bedside swallow evaluations and therapy sessions
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and progress

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia SLP License
• CCC-SLP Certification (required)
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 15–18 months of recent SLP experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in acute care settings
• Experience with MBS (Modified Barium Swallow) and FEES (preferred, not required)
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

Patient Population

• Acute care patients across hospital units
• ICU, neurological, stroke, dysphagia, and respiratory cases
