Job Title: Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (IMCU)
Location: Utica, NY
Job Type: Contract
Shift & Schedule: Nights (6:30p–7a) | Block Scheduling Not Guaranteed
Pay Rate: $50.00 to $58.00 per hour

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care for an exciting Travel or Local job in Utica, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) setting
• Manage patients with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions
• Monitor and care for post-op, CV stepdown, COPD, DKA, and sepsis patients
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Manage specialized equipment including chest tubes, A-lines, temp pacers, and BiPAP
• Assist with chronic ventilated patients in collaboration with RT
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and document care
• Respond to clinical changes and escalate as needed
• Float to other units as required
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation (EPIC)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years IMCU/PCU experience required
• Active New York RN license (ALL RN licenses must be verified via NURSYS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and NIHSS required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must submit updated resume with travel experience documented
• Must include skills checklist and RTO at time of submission
• Valid driver’s license matching demographic information required
• Ability to work in high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• Comfortable floating as required
