"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Travel Assignment in a Medical-Surgical Unit located in Utica, New York, United States. This opportunity is ideal for a nurse with strong med-surg and post-operative care experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Position Overview

• Role: Registered Nurse – Medical / Surgical
• Location: Utica, New York, United States
• Shift: Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Start Date: Mid-June 2026
• Contract Type: Travel Assignment
• Floating: Required
• Block Scheduling: Not guaranteed
• Guaranteed Hours: Weekly

Unit Overview

• Specialty Unit: Medical-Surgical (MS) – 6th Floor
• Department: MVHS – Wynn Nursing Med Surg (Unit 2000270)
• Patient Population: Adult patients
• Common Diagnoses: Post-surgical care including abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and bariatric (morbid obesity) cases
• Clinical Focus: Post-operative recovery and general medical-surgical nursing care
• Equipment Used: IV pumps, nasogastric (N/G) tubes, feeding tubes

Requirements – Submission Checklist

• Will accept local candidates (within 75 miles – local rates apply)
• Minimum 2+ years of Medical-Surgical experience required
• Travel experience is required
• Must have experience clearly documented in resume
• Active New York RN License required (and all active RN licenses verified via NURSYS)
• Required Certifications:
  • AHA BLS
• Must provide:
  • Updated resume with MS and travel experience
  • Skills checklist matching Med-Surg specialty
  • Driver’s license with matching address and demographics
  • NURSYS verification report
  • RTO (Requested Time Off) submitted at time of application
• EPIC EMR experience required
