Job Title: CNA – Long Term Care (LTC)
Location: Edison, NJ
Shift: Day Shift – 5x8 Hours (07:00 AM – 03:00 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join a skilled nursing/rehabilitation team. The CNA will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care, ensuring residents receive high-quality support aligned with their care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with individualized care plans
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, feeding, and mobility
• Perform ROM exercises, ambulation, and transfer assistance
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and patient conditions
• Maintain patient safety, cleanliness, and comfort during assigned shifts
• Respond promptly to call bells and patient needs
• Assist with post-mortem care and room transitions
• Report changes in patient condition to nursing staff in a timely manner
• Ensure proper use of adaptive equipment as ordered
• Complete all required documentation per facility, state, and federal guidelines
• Support restorative nursing activities
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of CNA experience in Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting
• License: Active New Jersey CNA license required
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) required
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of accredited CNA program
• Skills:
  • Ability to manage diverse patient populations, including post-op, rehab, and infectious cases (including COVID+)
  • Strong patient care skills including mobility assistance, hygiene, and monitoring
  • Ability to float across units (vent, rehab, post-op, etc.) as needed
• Must pass facility competency evaluation during the first week

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with geriatric and disabled populations
• Prior experience in subacute or rehabilitation settings
