Job Title: Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) in Utica, New York, United States. This is a travel assignment opportunity for a clinician who is confident in managing high-acuity stepdown patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Position Overview

• Role: Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (IMCU)
• Location: Utica, New York, United States
• Shift: Day Shift (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Start Date: June 15th
• Floating: Required

Unit Overview

• Unit Type: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU / Stepdown)
• Patient Population: Adults (18+)
• Common Diagnoses: Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory conditions (COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, post-op)
• Unit Size: 64 beds (including 15 Neuro-designated beds)
• Ventilator Patients: Chronic vents (RT-supported, non-weanable)
• Equipment: Temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, Vapo systems

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2+ years of IMCU/PCU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Must have strong acute care and stepdown competency
• Experience with EPIC EMR required

Certifications & Compliance

• Active New York RN License (and all active RN licenses) required
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• NURSYS verification required
• Updated resume must reflect relevant experience and travel history
• Skills checklist must match specialty
• Driver’s license must match candidate demographics
• RTO (Requested Time Off) must be submitted at time of application
