Shift & Schedule

• Shift: Night Shift (3x12 Hours)
• Timing: 07:00 PM – 07:00 AM
• Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (including holidays as scheduled)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a fast-paced acute care environment in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in respiratory care and experience working independently, including providing care to pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapies, including aerosol and positive pressure treatments
• Initiate and monitor oxygen therapy for a variety of respiratory conditions
• Assist with intubation and mechanical ventilation management
• Monitor ventilated patients and troubleshoot respiratory equipment
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling via radial arterial puncture
• Conduct pulmonary function testing
• Respond to emergencies, including CPR and airway management
• Provide care to both adult and pediatric populations
• Accurately document patient care in EMR systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Associate Degree (A.A.S.) in Respiratory Therapy (Required)
• Active New York State Respiratory Therapist License/Registration
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience (post-degree)
• Pediatric experience preferred
• BLS Certification (Required)
• Strong knowledge of ventilators and respiratory care practices
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting
