Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT / CRT) – Travel Assignment
Location: Gastonia, North Carolina
Duration: 13 Weeks (Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12 hours)
Schedule: Every other weekend + holiday requirement
Travel Requirement: Must reside 50+ miles from the facility

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital setting. The role involves providing respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions, including critical care support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments and patient care
• Perform respiratory assessments and monitor lung function
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and ventilator support
• Manage mechanical ventilation in ICU/critical care settings
• Perform and assist with arterial blood gas (ABG) procedures
• Respond to emergencies including code blue situations
• Monitor patient progress and collaborate with healthcare teams
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control policies
• Maintain and manage respiratory equipment

Requirements:

• Active State Respiratory Therapy License
• RRT or CRT Certification (Required)
• Experience in acute care or critical care settings
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Must meet travel eligibility (50+ miles from facility)
