Position Overview

A healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Duties

• Assess patient conditions, including pain management and reassessment after interventions
• Perform nursing procedures and interventions as directed by providers
• Document all patient care accurately and in a timely manner
• Respond promptly to patient needs and ensure proactive care delivery

Patient Education & Communication

• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and side effects
• Communicate medical information in clear, understandable terms
• Provide guidance on follow-up care, lifestyle modifications, and prevention
• Support patients and families in preparing for self-care after discharge

Emergency Department Responsibilities

• Deliver care in a high-acuity emergency setting
• Assist with trauma and pediatric emergency cases as needed
• Collaborate effectively with providers and care teams under pressure
• Adhere to established clinical standards and protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Nursing diploma or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – required within 30 days of hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – required within 30 days
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – required within 6 months
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification – required within 6 months
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – required within 1 year
