Job Title: System Software Programmer - Project Lead

Location: Hybrid – Columbia, South Carolina

Role Overview

A government agency is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to design and develop enterprise-scale web applications on the Microsoft .NET platform. The role focuses on supporting large, integrated case management systems within a public sector environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience across front-end interfaces, application logic, database design, and web services development within a Microsoft technology stack.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level web applications using Microsoft .NET technologies
  • Collaborate with software engineers and technical leaders to understand system requirements and recommend improvements
  • Review and analyze existing code and system design to identify issues and enhance performance and maintainability
  • Design and document system components and subsystems using object-oriented principles
  • Develop, debug, and test application components
  • Execute unit testing, integration testing, and participate in system-wide testing efforts
  • Deploy applications and support release processes
  • Communicate system-level impacts and contribute to architectural decisions
  • Support technical infrastructure including source control, build, and testing systems
  • Work independently and collaboratively to meet project goals

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of experience designing and developing medium to large-scale applications using Microsoft .NET technologies
  • 5+ years of experience building data-driven applications using MS SQL Server
  • 5+ years of experience developing web-based systems using N-tier architecture, scalable design, and secure implementations
  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing software components and subsystems
  • 5+ years of experience with Angular (including modern versions)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in public sector or social services-related application development
  • Experience working in Agile development environments
  • Familiarity with performance, security, and regression testing tools
