Position Title: Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) – Travel / Acute Care

Location: Portland, Oregon
Duration: Travel Assignment (Short-Term)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) for a travel assignment in a short-term acute care hospital. The role is essential in ensuring the safe and efficient sterilization, preparation, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment to support operating room and patient care services.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, and assembly of surgical instruments
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment (steam sterilizers, washers, ultrasonic cleaners)
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and defects
• Prepare surgical trays and case carts for procedures
• Ensure compliance with infection control and hospital safety standards
• Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of instruments (Epic or equivalent systems)
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies
• Support operating room workflow and equipment readiness

Requirements

• Prior travel experience as a Sterile Processing Technician (required)
• Strong knowledge of sterile processing procedures and surgical instrumentation
• Experience with SPM (Sterile Processing Management) systems preferred
• Experience with robotic surgical instruments preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization standards
