Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Location: Waco, TX 
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Part-Time | 32 hours/week (4x8)
Shift: Day Shift (8-hour shifts)

Position Overview

A reputable healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support rehabilitation services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will assist in delivering therapeutic interventions to help patients improve mobility, strength, and overall functional independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
• Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to patients
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Educate patients and families on exercises and rehabilitation techniques
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to treatment protocols
• Assist with mobility training, transfers, and use of assistive devices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members

Patient Population

• Rehabilitation patients (may include orthopedic, geriatric, and post-acute care populations)

Experience Requirements

• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred
• Strong patient care and communication skills

Education & Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program required
• Active PTA license required (State of Texas)
