Position Title: Travel Registered Nurse – Transplant
Location: New York, New York
Setting: Specialty Clinical / Transplant Care (Pediatric Focus)

Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift Type: Day Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday (5x8 hours, subject to change to 4x10 based on program needs)
Shift Hours: Approximately 07:00 AM – 03:30 PM
Weekly Hours: 40 Hours
Overtime: Available (1.4x after 40 hours/week)

Job Summary:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is a skilled Transplant Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive pre- and post-transplant patient care in a specialized clinical setting. The RN will support transplant coordination, patient education, and ongoing clinical monitoring while working closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide triage support by managing patient calls and coordinating care with providers
Review laboratory results and coordinate follow-up care plans
Assist during clinic visits, including assessments and medication reconciliation
Educate patients and families on transplant care, medications, and adherence
Monitor patients for post-transplant complications such as rejection or infection
Coordinate pre- and post-transplant testing, procedures, and follow-ups
Communicate care plan updates to patients and caregivers
Assist with administrative functions including prior authorizations, documentation, and forms
Maintain accurate and timely patient records
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Active New York State RN License required
Current AHA BLS certification required
PALS preferred
Experience in transplant, acute care, or specialty care strongly preferred
Knowledge of transplant processes, waitlist criteria, and regulatory guidelines (UNOS preferred)
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient education skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced specialty care environment
