Job Title: Nurse Supervisor / Associate Director of Nursing (Med/Surg)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week)
Rate:

• Local Rate: $3,300/Week
• Travel Rate: $3,773.5/Week

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Nurse Supervisor / Associate Director of Nursing for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight for one or more Medical/Surgical units, acting as the primary leadership point of contact at the unit level
• Design and implement initiatives focused on improving patient outcomes and employee performance metrics
• Monitor patient care delivery and collaborate with nurse managers on unit assessments
• Lead corrective action strategies to improve clinical and operational performance
• Develop and maintain systems to track medication errors and support staff counseling and development
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to align unit-level operations with departmental and facility-wide goals

Qualifications

Experience & Education

• Minimum 7 years of professional nursing experience required
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or nursing leadership role required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred

Certifications & Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Primary Source Verification of license and registration from NYSED required
• BLS certification required

Core Competencies

• Strong Medical/Surgical nursing leadership experience
• Performance monitoring and program development expertise
• Experience in corrective action planning and staff development
• Strong administrative and operational management skills
