Title: Nurse Supervisor (Travel Role)
Location: New York, NY 10037
Duration: 13 Weeks (with possible extension)
Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Job Summary

A healthcare facility is seeking a Nurse Supervisor for a travel assignment focused on improving patient care quality and staff performance. This role involves monitoring clinical outcomes, collaborating with leadership, and supporting corrective actions to enhance overall nursing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement programs to improve patient care quality and staff performance
• Monitor nursing staff performance and clinical outcomes
• Collaborate with nurse managers to assess unit performance and identify improvement areas
• Support and execute corrective action plans when required
• Develop and maintain record-keeping systems, including medication error tracking and staff counseling documentation
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards, policies, and procedures
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support across nursing units
• Promote continuous improvement in clinical and operational performance

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)

Preferred Education:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN)

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of nursing experience
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role

Licensure & Certifications:

• Active RN License (New York State required)
• Primary Source Verification of RN License (NYSED)
• BLS Certification
