Duration: 8 Weeks

Schedule:

  • Monday–Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Wednesday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to support both front and back office operations in a clinical setting. This role involves direct patient care, administrative support, and phlebotomy services, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and room patients, ensuring a positive patient experience
  • Take and record vital signs accurately
  • Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection
  • Administer vaccines and assist with clinical procedures
  • Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
  • Answer phones and handle patient communications
  • Maintain accurate patient records in EMR systems
  • Support both clinical and administrative tasks as needed
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient operations

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (in addition to externship)
  • 2–3 years of overall healthcare or clinical experience preferred
  • Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required
  • EMR (Electronic Medical Records) experience required
  • BLS or CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred
  • Occupational Health experience preferred

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Front and back office clinical experience
  • Strong phlebotomy and specimen collection skills
  • Experience with EKG and point-of-care testing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in computer systems and EMR platforms
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
