Job Title: System Software Programmer – Consultant

Job Type: Contract (12 Months)

Work Schedule: 40 hours/week (flexible hours may be required)

Location: Cayce, SC, Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite / 1 Day Remote


Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled System Software Programmer to support the modernization and maintenance of enterprise financial and administrative systems. This role focuses on developing modern web applications, enhancing legacy systems, and implementing DevOps practices to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable software delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

Application Development & Support

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Angular and modern web technologies
  • Analyze existing systems, integrations, and dependencies
  • Identify performance issues and modernization opportunities
  • Support full software development lifecycle (design, development, deployment, maintenance)

DevOps & Implementation

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Automate deployments and streamline release processes
  • Perform unit, integration, and regression testing
  • Support production deployments and system upgrades

System Integration & Data Management

  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and system consistency
  • Support reporting and analytics integrations
  • Troubleshoot data and performance issues

Documentation & Collaboration

  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and sprint planning
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, Finance, and IT
  • Track tasks and progress using internal systems

System Optimization & Modernization

  • Refactor legacy code and migrate to modern frameworks
  • Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency
  • Participate in system upgrades and modernization initiatives

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to security standards and regulatory requirements
  • Support implementation of secure coding practices and data protection policies

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience with Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • 3+ years of experience developing RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL Server (database design, queries, performance tuning)
  • 3+ years of experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • 5+ years of experience with manual and automated testing across SDLC
  • Experience creating technical documentation
  • Knowledge of data security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with information security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CJIS)
  • Experience supporting IT implementation projects
  • Familiarity with Power BI or data reporting pipelines
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure
  • Experience with SharePoint or collaboration tools
