Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Pediatrics (Biobehavioral Health Unit)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Schedule: (Rotating Shifts; Every Other Weekend & Some Holidays Required) / 20 Weeks

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join an inpatient pediatric Biobehavioral Health Unit. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in an acute care setting, with a focus on behavioral health. The RN must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision and may be required to float across pediatric units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in a biobehavioral health setting
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement appropriate care plans
• Monitor and document patient conditions using electronic medical records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide behavioral health support and interventions for pediatric patients
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC (preferred)
• Float to other pediatric units as required
• Adhere to all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License (required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 1.5–2 years of recent acute care experience (within the past 2 years)
• Minimum 2 years of behavioral health experience required
• Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center highly preferred
• Pediatric behavioral health experience highly preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
