Job Title: Special Education Teacher – Middle School
Location: Plainfield, NJ
Schedule: Full-Time (7:10 AM – 3:30 PM)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in an inclusive learning environment. This role focuses on delivering individualized instruction through both push-in and pull-out services, helping students achieve academic success and meet their individualized education goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to middle school students with disabilities
• Deliver push-in and pull-out services based on student needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies for diverse learners
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families
• Support students in achieving academic and behavioral goals
• Participate in IEP meetings and school-based team discussions

Caseload

• Approximately 13 students

Requirements

• Active New Jersey Department of Education (NJ DOE) Instructional License (required)
• Middle School Special Education certification (required)
• Must be Highly Qualified in ELA and/or Math
