Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology

Location: Neptune, NJ
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in an acute inpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in oncology, particularly with hematologic malignancies, and be skilled in delivering comprehensive nursing care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients, including those with leukemia and lymphoma
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and monitor patient responses
• Administer medications and treatments, including chemotherapy (as applicable)
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with standards of care
• Advocate for evidence-based practices and patient-centered care delivery
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care processes

Patient Population:

• Adult oncology patients (acute inpatient setting)
• Special focus on leukemia and lymphoma cases

Schedule & Work Details:

• Shift: 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: 3 out of 6 holidays
• Call: None
• Floating: Required based on unit needs

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient oncology experience
• Experience with leukemia & lymphoma patients
• Active RN license (state-specific or compact)
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card (required)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN required)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Telemetry experience
• Additional oncology certifications
